A fact from American Zoetrope appeared on Wikipedia's
Main Page in the
Did you know column on 5 March 2004. The text of the entry was as follows:
|
I could be wrong but I don't think George Lucas had anything to do with the founding of American Zoetrope, I believe that it was only Francis Ford Coppola that had founded the company while Mr. Lucas was busy with his Lucasfilms and Industrial Light & Magic companies. Is there any verifiable source to back the George Lucas founding American Zoetrope statement? 96.243.189.48 ( talk) 05:20, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
This article lacks any accurate coverage of the subject. The details of the founding are wrong. The multiple bankrupcies and reorganizations in the 1980s are missing as are the changes in name. The establishment and loss of the physical studio is also missing. Equally amusing is how the studio was able to produce so many films years before it was even founded. 70.234.247.90 ( talk) 02:04, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
It's unclear why a number of titles have been removed from the list of Zoetrope films, these are all on the Zoetrope list here, and many are also listed at IMDb:
Coda: Thirty Years Later
A few of them are films directed by Coppola before Zoetrope was founded, but many of the others are not. NoMatterTryAgain ( talk) 20:38, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
Does anyone know what films by these directors were made by American Zoetrope? Its mentioned in the article, but I'm not sure what it is referring to. 70.234.239.238 ( talk) 09:51, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
