I don't know that it's appropriate to say that Marinescu showed less difficulty in her tumbling than teammates Lavinia Milosovici and Gina Gogean. True, she was not as powerful as they were, but what she lacked in power (not by *that* much) in tumbling, she made up for in complexity. She was a good twister (triple full) whereas Gogean wasn't - never having more than a full twist in any of her tumbling saltos. Also, she showed more difficult forward tumbling (double full + punch front) than any of her teammates. And her backwards tumbling wasn't that bad (whip, bhs (or 2), full-in). Also, on vault, she had a 1.5 Yurchenko, just like World Vault Champion Gogean, although perhaps the execution and amplitude were inferior. But the *difficulty* was not inferior.
If there's no response to this statement, I will consider changing the text myself.

I noticed that someone had Alexandra's year of birth as 1981. That is in the F.I.G. profile but it also appears that there are several sources that back up the 1982 date, including one that is an interview with Alexandra herself, where she says that she was born in 1982. So I have changed it back. It's pretty well accepted that she's one of the gymnasts who had her age faked. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.116.14.35 ( talk) 00:00, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
