@ Rcduggan: It seems that on 9 November 2007‎ AlefZet ( talk · contribs) split material from Alash Orda and created Alash Autonomy. There is a current proposal to (in essence) reverse this split and merge the two page. That sounds like a good idea, as the former state and its government can readily be discussed on one page.
