This page needs better references (one comic book, one art book, and one scholarly book who only mention of the term is "little is known of the north-coast gods Aiapec and Con") Rmhermen ( talk) 17:21, 14 November 2014 (UTC) reply

This source [1] from Museo Larco claims that Ai apaec is a Moche heroic ancestor who went to the darkest realm and fought "the Decapitator". So they are two entirely different beings. Rmhermen ( talk) 17:31, 14 November 2014 (UTC) reply

Title: Aiapæc?

As far as the Mochica name is maintained, I think it better be written as in original Mochica spelling (i.e. 'Aiapæc'). Despite more usually written separately (as in 'Ai Apaec' or 'Ai-Apaec') by contemporary archaeologists, that spelling is clearly spurious, as is explained in detail in the Spanish version of the entry.
