I believe the sources fulfill WP:Basic. There's a profile in Science, a profile from the American Society for Microbiology, inclusion in Cell Press' list of 1,000 Inspiring black scientists - all reputable, significant publishers. In addition there's coverage from other periodical coverage like the The Pipette Gazette, The College Magazine that point to Adrian Land's impact and notability in the community.
