Szczecin wasnt under polish government rule till 1946-47; city was under russian military control, shipyard, the same as synthetic petrol factory in nowadays Police, was disassembled by russians and taken into russia, my grandfather told me story about it :D quite funny (he was railway engineer) facilities which couldn't be moved by rail or see were demolished.
