Can someone add some information as to where this comet is believed to have originated (Kuyper belt, etc) and its suspected age?
Tempel 1 has a small moon called iota right?
Shouldn't this have an infobox? I mean, we might not know it's density as yet (which is the whole point of the mission), or stuff like that, but I mean, things like eccentricity et al might be useful. -- Natalinasmpf 4 July 2005 11:59 (UTC)
How do they know that Tempel 1's origin is the solar system? -- Abdull 5 July 2005 14:59 (UTC)
The sidebar "infobox" states dimensions are 7.6×4.9 km, but in the paragraph just below the sidebar it states 9P/Tempel is "believed to be 14 by 4 kilometers". Mvsmith ( talk) 06:22, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
