I've reassessed the article as meeting the Start-class guidelines. It is, however, pretty close to a B-class article.
The problems that I saw: The "Stadium Design" section uses an odd mix of tenses, including "was" and "will". It is also very unclear if this was only the design for the new (2006?) San Francisco stadium, or might also be recycled to used for the Santa Clara stadium design. [Also: Was there a different design intended for the 1997 version?]
Also: The "2006 plan" section looks to me if it is really two plans, the initial San Francisco plan, and the later Santa Clara plan.
If these issues are cleared up, the article should be ready for a B-class rating. Blank Verse 06:57, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
There is some bias and unsourced information in this small section of the article that needs to be addressed.
It is obsolete. It is basically a baseball stadium with a football field. Seatings along what used to be the right foul line are now blocked by the east grandstand for football games as well as steel beams supporting the upper deck obstructing sight lines of seats on the lower deck.
It is also the oldest stadium in the NFL that has not been renovated or replaced. Heck, even Soldier Field and Lambeau Field, stadiums that are older than Monster Park, have been renovated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.246.84.57 ( talk) 08:04, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Is the old age of the stadium really the reason why the 49ers are worth half what the Reskins are worth? Somehow, it seems like other factors might have more to do with it.

Baseball Buggs: Please do not reintroduce the "Construction" section in the article without first correcting the problems. The edit does not meet WP guidelines for several reasons. These include: notability; paragraph and section form; use of external links in the article, and proper formatting for inline referencing of material. All of these guidelines are available to you. Please consider using the Help section (to the left), the MOS, or even the Help Desk if you need assistance in meeting the basic requirements for adding to the article content. 177.43.72.251 ( talk) 01:24, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

I see the deletionists are still winning the battle against information. Why is there no information about the strange decision to put the stadium out in BFE. I just drove from my house in Richmond District to the stadium, and it took over 90 minutes. Putting the stadium way out there is going to hurt attendance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.217.163.67 ( talk) 16:23, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
Why was all of the information about the decision to build the stadium in the middle of nowhere deleted? Is the NFL so embarrassed about the decision that they're censoring it? The ridiculous location makes no sense so I'm sure a lot of people are left with that question after reading this intentionally incomplete article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.149.43.225 ( talk) 04:29, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
You haven't been paying attention to all of the articles about the decision to put it 40 miles from the city. I live in Pacific Heights, and it's three hours each way to get to via public transit on a week day morning. Forty miles from the city is certainly the middle of nowhere. I just want to know why that information has been deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.149.43.225 ( talk) 07:55, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
Got to agree with ol' Zzyzx11. I am sorry that the 49ers have inconvenienced you so much in deciding to relocate from that great windswept turd at Candlestick. However, you may be pleased to learn that very few NFL games are played on week day mornings.-- 172.162.0.241 ( talk) 01:11, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
There seems to be something wrong with the transportation table which results in it showing up just above the election results table. I tried a couple of things, however fixing this seems to be beyond my wiki-editing abilities Kevink707 ( talk) 19:32, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
Under 'Opening', events are NOT listed chronologically (logically). And why mention somebody dying? People die at 'big' events all the time, so why is this worth a mention here? 66.81.253.124 ( talk) 08:31, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

There are still links active in Google Earth and other resources that reference the old page "Proposed new 49ers stadium" As this page no longer exists, I would suggest that it would be prudent to redirect this old page to the Levi Stadium page to avoid people hitting dead end links. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.220.152.66 ( talk) 04:23, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
It would be useful to know how large the field is, and therefore what size pitch can be marked out, especially for Soccer and Rugger - which permit variations in size of pitch.
I am guessing that it cannot accommodate a full sized rugby pitch, which requires 80m wide by 154m long grass area. 2A00:23C6:54C4:3601:F119:5C72:BC78:36B8 ( talk) 00:01, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
