'and a Renault "Whippet" FT-17[clarification needed] tank'
Some problems here. The presence of the tank is disputed, according to the author's sources. The Renault tank and the Whippet were not the same thing. The Renault was called the FT, not the FT-17. The expression "Whippet" was very occasionally, and unofficially, used to refer to the FT, but the link here goes to the British Medium Mark A. 950 FTs were not built for the American Army. The US Tank Corps borrowed about 400 and later purchased about 200 FTs; the 950 were close copies of the FT, the US M1917 Light Tank. This citation does not state which tank was used, if any was.
Unfortunately, some of the citations here are from flickr accounts.
I shall make such adjustments as can legitimately be made in the circumstances. Further research necessary. Hengistmate ( talk) 15:54, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
