According to this page, the Mozilla browser illustrates "a back-formation derived from the Japanese movie character Godzilla." Yet according to Mozilla, "The name was created as a contraction of the words 'Mosaic killer', hinting that Netscape would be the end to the (then only) competitor browser, Mosaic." Should this inconsistency be mentioned on the page? The citations on this page suggest that, regardless of what Mozilla's creators had in mind, some contemporary hearers relate the word to Godzilla. This information should only be added, though, if there is citation for the 'Mosaic killer' origin, currently unsourced at Mozilla. Cnilep ( talk) 16:31, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
