Latino is NOT a race but individuals who can trace their heritage to at least one of 33 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, including Portuguese-speaking Brazil. This identity is ONLY tied to geography and excludes Spain. Having said this, you cannot infer that a Latino cannot be considered white just because he/she was not born in the United States.
