Rigveda
Changed “Indo-European” to “Indo-Aryan”. The Rig Veda was written by the ancestors of many groups, including Iranians and Europeans. To call this an “Indo-European” text excludes the other descendants of the Aryans. It implies these people were only the ancestors of the European. The word ‘Aryan’ is the correct word. People who say “indo-European” often do so because ‘Aryan’ is associated with Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. The word is independent of how people use it & is older than Europe.Tags: RevertedVisual editMobile editMobile web edit
