Changed the title from "English and Welsh law" to English law as the article already states above that English law applies to Wales and that Welsh law was effectively abolished. So the correct term is either "the laws of England and Wales" or simply "English law."

→Aftermath: Someone has, rather disgracefully, changed an original quote to fit it with their demented idea of fairness or political correctness or heaven knows what. The original quote from Major Frye was "the Allies were, of course, obliged to take their surgeons and wagons with them." It was not "the Anglo-allies."
