→Importance: Improved final sentence. I don't know why somebody said it "fell into obscurity" as if it was popular at some point. Rather, it seems to have been a rare version all along. Only 1000 copies were printed in 1876, and I'm not aware of any old reprints. It's barely being reprinted today (2023). archive.org has it tagged as banned. →Translation style: Edited "odd" to "uncompromising", and removed derision of "nonsensical". Julia Smith was aware of her uncompromising use of tenses, as she indicated in the preface of her translation. To insult her decision here is as-if to be unaware of how Hebrew works and unaware of the contents of the preface. Note that mechanical-translation.org uses identical tenses in its translation. So perhaps it fell into obscurity because it was banned. Why was it banned? Likely because the translator is a woman. I have not found evidence to support this hypothesis, so I am not adding it into the article. Furthermore, the phrase "lacked any flow" is preposterous.
