Sin ( Persian: سين) [a] is a city in the Central District of Borkhar County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as the administrative center for Sin Rural District. [4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, Sin's population was 4,147 in 1,066 households, when it was a village in Borkhar-e Gharbi Rural District of the Central District of the former Borkhar and Meymeh County. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 5,198 people in 1,621 households, [6] by which time the village had been separated from the county in the establishment of Borkhar County. [4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,495 people in 1,755 households, [2] when the village of Sin had been elevated to the status of a city. [7]
