Shapurabad ( Persian: شادپوراباد) [a] is a city in Habibabad District of Borkhar County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as the administrative center for Shapurabad Rural District. [4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 5,172 in 1,312 households, when it was a village in Borkhar District of the former Borkhar and Meymeh County. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 5,487 people in 1,561 households, [6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Borkhar County, [4] and the village of Shapurabad had been elevated to the status of a city. [7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,915 people in 1,801 households. [2]
