Severny District ( Russian: Се́верный райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [3] district ( raion), one of the thirty in Novosibirsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 15,548 square kilometers (6,003 sq mi).[ citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Severnoye.
