Quchan Atiq District ( Persian: بخش قوچان عتیق) is in Quchan County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shahr-e Kohneh, [2] whose population at the 2016 National Census was 3,320 people in 1,062 households. [3]
In 2019, Quchan Atiq Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Quchan Atiq District, which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Yazdan Rural District. [2] The village of Shahr-e Kohneh was elevated to the status of a city. [4]
