Qolqol Rud Rural District ( Persian: دهستان قلقل رود) is in Qolqol Rud District of Tuyserkan County, Hamadan province, Iran. [3] It is administered from the city of Farasfaj. [4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 6,221 in 1,469 households. [5] There were 5,842 inhabitants in 1,695 households at the following census of 2011. [6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 4,686 in 1,429 households. The most populous of its 16 villages was Chasht Khvoreh, with 681 people. [2]
