Ostrogozhsky District ( Russian: Острого́жский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [4] district ( raion), one of the thirty-two in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,725 square kilometers (666 sq mi).[ citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Ostrogozhsk. [1] Population: 55,747 ( 2021 Census); [6] 61,291 ( 2010 Russian census); [2] 27,972 ( 2002 Census); [7] 31,201 ( 1989 Soviet census). [8] The population of Ostrogozhsk accounts for 58.3% of the district's total population. [6]
