Verkhnemamonsky District ( Russian: Верхнемамо́нский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [4] district ( raion), one of the thirty-two in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,345 square kilometers (519 sq mi).[ citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Verkhny Mamon. [1] Population: 18,611 ( 2021 Census); [6] 21,659 ( 2010 Russian census); [2] 23,086 ( 2002 Census); [7] 22,788 ( 1989 Soviet census). [8] The population of Verkhny Mamon accounts for 40.3% of the district's total population. [6]
