Kingdom of Syunik ( Armenian: Սյունիքի թագաորություն), also known as the Kingdom of Baghk [2] and sometimes as the Kingdom of Kapan, [2] was a medieval dependent Armenian kingdom [1] [2] on the territory of Syunik, Artsakh (present-day Nagorno-Karabakh), and Gegharkunik. Ruled by the Siunia dynasty, the town of Kapan was the capital of the kingdom. [3] It existed from 987-1170.
