Khormarud-e Jonubi Rural District ( Persian: دهستان خرمارود جنوبی) [a] is in Cheshmeh Saran District of Azadshahr County, Golestan province, Iran. [3] It is administered from the city of Now Deh Khanduz. [4]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 3,003 in 758 households. [5] There were 2,584 inhabitants in 661 households at the following census of 2011. [6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 2,485 in 778 households. The most populous of its nine villages was Su Sara, with 1,100 people. [2]
