Kashal-e Azad Sara ( Persian: كشل ازادسرا) [a] is a village in, and the capital of, Kurka Rural District of the Central District of Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh County, Gilan province, Iran. The previous capital of the rural district was the former village of Kurka. [4]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 746 in 216 households. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 733 people in 250 households. [6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 669 people in 236 households. [2]
