Hub District ( Lasi, Urdu: ضِلع حَب), is a coastal administrative district of Balochistan Province of Pakistan. [2] The district was created after bifurcation of Lasbela District in 2022. [2] [3]
Sardar Muhammad Saleh Bhootani confirmed that the creation of Hub District is a long-standing demand of his people of PB-49 constituency. [2]
Member, National Assembly of Pakistan (MNA) Mohammad Aslam Bhutani has thanked Chief Minister Bizenjo for approving the creation of this district. [2]
The district of Hub is administratively divided in five tehsils.

At the time of the 2017 census, Hub district had 49,449 households and a population of 339,640. Hub had a sex ratio of 913 females per 1000 males and a literacy rate of 35.90% - 45.37% for males and 25.49% for females. 227,872 (67.09%) lived in urban areas. 105,437 (31.04%) were under 10 years of age. [1]
At the time of the 2017 census, 58.31% of the population spoke Balochi, 18.51% Sindhi, 15.80% Brahui, 4.08% Pashto and 1.22% Saraiki as their first language.
