Garmab ( Persian: گرماب) [a] is a city in Taghenkuh District of Firuzeh County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran, serving as the administrative center for Taghenkuh-e Jonubi Rural District. [4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 4,220 in 968 households, when it was a village in Taghenkuh-e Jonubi Rural District of Nishapur County. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 4,429 people in 1,111 households, [6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Firuzeh County. [7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,316 people in 1,198 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district. [2]
After the census, the village of Garmab was elevated to the status of a city. [8]
