Jannon Jaye OTTO (born April 14, 1997) also known as Jannon OTTO is an Ugandan American [4] professional basketball player for the for Bembibre Women's Basketball team in the Liga Femenina de Baloncesto in Spain [5]. She played college basketball for New Mexico Lobos and UC Riverside California [6]. She was part of the 2023 Women's Afrobasket qualification Zone 5 qualifiers for 2023 Women's Afrobasket where she entertained crowds with her prolific skills while gaining reputation as one of the best.
Jannon was born on April 14, 1997 in Victorville , California. Her mother is Kelly Hennessy who is also her high school coach, as well as former player at North Dakota. [7]
Jannon played college baskeball for University of Mexico New Mexico Lobos [8] and University of California UC Riverside, California [9]. During her college career at New Mexico Lobos and UC Riverside, she averaged 12.2ppg on 43.7% shooting and added 5.5 rpg and 2.5apg. [10]
After college and not being drafted into the WNBA, Jannon OTTO opted to play overseas where she has emerged as a leading player. She has played professionally for different clubs in Europe and Australia some of which are listed below:
Her mother being a coach, she grew in the basketball culture which she learnt to appreciate the game and be skillful. While at Oak hills high school, Jannon excelled as the lead player and became basketball athlete of the year scoring 2184 points. [11]
