EuroTeleSites [1] a spin off of the A1 Telekom Austria Group Tower business and a publicly listed company on the Vienna Stock Exchange's prime market, specializes in providing telecommunications infrastructure and solutions in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region. The company ranks among the top 30 tower companies in Europe. With ownership and operation of about 13,400 mobile cell tower sites, EuroTeleSites caters to a diverse clientele, ranging from mobile network operators to internet service providers, enterprises, and government agencies. The company has around 160 specialized employees and a long-term contract with the mobile operator A1 as anchor tenant.

History

On February 20, 2023, the Supervisory Board of the A1 Telekom Austria Group decided to spin off the passive mobile communications infrastructure into a separate company while retaining the ownership structure. An extraordinary General Assembly held on August 1, 2023, saw the shareholders of Telekom Austria Group endorsing the spin-off of the cell tower business to the newly formed EuroTeleSites AG. Shareholders received one EuroTeleSites share for every four Telekom Austria shares. Since September 22, 2023, EuroTeleSites [2] has been trading on the prime market of the Vienna Stock Exchange, with an initial reference price of EUR 4.95 per share. [3] [4]

EuroTeleSites [6] is primarily owned by two major shareholders, América Móvil and OeBAG. As of the end of 2023, América Móvil held 56.96% of EuroTeleSites, while OeBAG held 28.42%, leaving the remaining 14.62% in free float.

The company operates in six countries, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, and North Macedonia, consolidating its operations at its HQ In Vienna, Austria . Its leadership team comprises CEO Ivo Ivanoski [7] hailing from North Macedonia, with a background in managing and executive roles at A1 Telekom Austria Group and international institutions like the United Nations and International Telecommunication Union.
