George Allan Parker (born May 27, 1972) is a former Minor League shortstop and third baseman baseball player from Citrus County, Florida. [1] He is also an 8th grade math teacher and a middle school football and tennis coach at Citrus Springs Middle School.
George Allan Parker was born on May 27, 1972 in Tampa, Florida. [1]
Parker’s baseball career started by him getting drafted by the California Angels in the 50th round of the 1991 MLB June Amateur Draft from Polk State College. Three years later, he got drafted by the California Angels in the 16th round of the 1994 MLB June Amateur Draft from University of Tennessee. Lastly, he got drafted by the Cedar Rapids Kernels in 1997, before retiring from the sport in 1999. [2] [1]
During the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020, Baseball Card Collectors sent Parker’s Baseball Cards to him for him to sign. They have sold online.
Parker no longer plays baseball, and now teaches at Citrus Springs Middle School in Citrus Springs, Florida. [3] He teaches 8th Grade Pre-Algebra, is the head coach of the school football team, and used to coach tennis.
