Development and Justice Party of Islamic Iran [1] or Islamic Iran Development and Justice Party [2] ( Persian: حزب توسعه و عدالت ایران اسلامی) is a conservative [3] political party in Iran, with a claimed goal of "increasing public participation in politics". [2]
Mohsen Rezai is the man behind the party, which consists mainly of Revolutionary Guard commanders who served in the Iran-Iraq War. [1] His brother Omidvar Rezai is said to have a leading role in the party. [3] Other senior members include Abdolhossein Rouhalamini [4] and Reza Talaei-Nik (both former Secretaries-General), Kamal Daneshyar and Amir-Ali Amiri. [2] The party backed Mohsen Rezai for president in 2009 [3] and 2013.
