Bumahen ( Persian: بومهن) [a] is a city in, and the capital of, Bumahen District of Pardis County, Tehran province, Iran. [4] It was the capital of Siyahrud Rural District [5] before the capital's transfer to the village of Tellow-e Bala. [4]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 43,004 in 11,667 households, when it was in the Central District of Tehran County. [6] The following census in 2011 counted 53,451 people in 15,729 households. [7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 79,034 people in 24,385 households, [2] by which time it had become the capital of Bumahen District in the newly established Pardis County. [4]
