Ashurabad ( Persian: اشوراباد) [a] is a village in, and the capital of, Japelaq-e Gharbi Rural District of Japelaq District, Azna County, Lorestan province, Iran. [4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 881 in 220 households. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 732 people in 233 households. [6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 801 people in 275 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district. [2]
