Asfyj Rural District ( Persian: دهستان اسفيج) [3] is in Asfyj District of Behabad County, Yazd province, Iran. [4] Its capital is the village of Asfyj. [5]
At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of Behabad District of Bafq County) was 2,070 in 525 households. [6] There were 2,127 inhabitants in 653 households at the following census of 2011, [7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Behabad County. [4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,064 in 714 households. The most populous of its 61 villages was Asfyj, with 619 people. [2]
