The 2024–25 UEFA Conference League will be the fourth season of the UEFA Conference League, Europe's tertiary club football tournament organised by UEFA.
This will be the first UEFA Conference League played under the new format. From this season, the competition is renamed to UEFA Conference League from the UEFA Europa Conference League. [1]
The final will be played in Wrocław Stadium in Wrocław, Poland. [2] The winners of the tournament will automatically qualify for the 2025–26 UEFA Europa League league stage, unless they qualify for the 2025–26 UEFA Champions League through their league performance.
A total of 168 teams from 53 of the 55 UEFA member associations are set to participate in the 2024–25 UEFA Conference League (the exceptions being Liechtenstein which does not organise a domestic league and Russia who is currently suspended). The association ranking based on the UEFA association coefficients is used to determine the number of participating teams for each association: [3]
For the 2024–25 UEFA Conference League, the associations are allocated places according to their 2023 UEFA association coefficients, which takes into account their performance in European competitions from 2018–19 to 2022–23. [4]
Apart from the allocation based on the association coefficients, associations may have additional teams participating in the Champions League, as noted below:
