The 2000β01 St. Louis Blues season was the 34th for the franchise in St. Louis, Missouri. After winning the Presidents' Trophy the previous season, the Blues finished the regular-season with a record of 43 wins, 22 losses, 12 ties and 5 overtime losses, enough for 103 points and a trip to the 2001 Stanley Cup playoffs. In the Western Conference Quarterfinals, the Blues defeated the San Jose Sharks in six games, then swept the Pacific Division-winning Dallas Stars in the Conference Semifinals before losing in five games to the eventual Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche in the Conference Finals.

The Owen Sound, Ontario native was signed by the Blues as a free agent on Oct. 9, 2000.

Lightning defenseman Dan Keczmer was helped off the ice at 16:56 of the second period with a sprained right knee sustained when he hit the boards after a check. Head medical trainer Dave Boyer said Keczmer will be re-evaluated today.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: St. Louis right wing Scott Young earned the honor after his six points last week helped the Blues tie their best start in franchise history. Young, 33, had four goals, two assists and a plus-five rating in three games.

The Owen Sound, Ontario native was signed by the Blues as a free agent on Oct. 9, 2000.

Lightning defenseman Dan Keczmer was helped off the ice at 16:56 of the second period with a sprained right knee sustained when he hit the boards after a check. Head medical trainer Dave Boyer said Keczmer will be re-evaluated today.
