Zarysly ( Azerbaijani: Zarıslı) or Zarist ( Armenian: Զառիստ [1]) is a village in the Shusha District of Azerbaijan. [2] The village had an Azerbaijani-majority population prior to their exodus during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. [3]
One of the observation posts of the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh in the context of the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh ceasefire agreement is located near the village. [4] Prior to 2023, the village controlled by the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh as part of its claimed the Shushi Province.
