Zahmakan ( Persian: زهمكان) [a] is a village in, and the capital of, Zahmakan Rural District of Hur District, Faryab County, Kerman province, Iran. [4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 847 in 209 households, when it was in Hur Rural District of the former Faryab District of Kahnuj County. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 778 people in 214 households, [6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Faryab County. [4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 631 people in 190 households. [2]
