Yegoryevsky District ( Russian: Его́рьевский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [4] district ( raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the krai. The area of the district is 2,500 square kilometers (970 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Novoyegoryevskoye. [1] Population: 14,170 ( 2010 Russian census); [3] 16,024 ( 2002 Census); [6] 15,919 ( 1989 Soviet census). [7] The population of Novoyegoryevskoye accounts for 40.9% of the district's total population. [3]
Lakes Gorkoye and Gorkoye-Peresheyechnoye are located in the district. [8] [9]
