Parking, spouses

I suppose there will be parking at the museum, right? And could i bring along my spouse? We will be in town together (for the Sufjan Stevens concert the evening before, in case anyone else is going :-) ). -- Dschwen 16:17, 5 October 2010 (UTC) reply

They have a dedicated parking garage, connected by walkway to the museum side of Illinois Street. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 20:55, 5 October 2010 (UTC) reply
As mentioned, there is a free parking garage on the museum's west side. It's located on Illinois just north of 30th Street. It's attached to the museum's new welcome center by a skywalk. You can certainly bring your wife with you. If you wouldn't mind noting that on the sign up sheet, that'd be great (just so I don't forget and miscount at a future date). Thrilled for you to be able to make it! HstryQT ( talk) 00:56, 6 October 2010 (UTC) reply
Ok, booked my hotel, don't cancel on me now :-) -- Dschwen 14:48, 2 November 2010 (UTC) reply
We certainly won't! Looking forward to it! HstryQT ( talk) 15:13, 2 November 2010 (UTC) reply

Timing

I want to go to this soooo bad! But I am working out of town that day. This is the coolest museum I've ever been to. Kudos to everyone going. Please take lots of pictures for the commons. There are so many valuable things there. Ooo I wish I could go. This breaks my heart, I am totally jealous. If I can find a way to get that day off I am totally there. :( — Charles Edward ( Talk |  Contribs) 16:36, 5 October 2010 (UTC) reply

Thanks for touching base today. Here's hoping you might miraculously be able to get off of work. It'd be great to have you there. Keep me posted! HstryQT ( talk) 00:58, 6 October 2010 (UTC) reply

Regrets

If I still lived in town, I'd be there in a heartbeat. I used to work at the museum, lo these many years ago, and delving into the storage areas is a real treat. If you can go, go. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 20:55, 5 October 2010 (UTC) reply

Looking forward to it

We've enjoyed trips to the museum many times with our family, and it truly is the best children's museum of several we've visited around the country. Looking forward to the backstage tour. Janeway1701 ( talk) 03:42, 6 October 2010 (UTC) reply

So glad you can make it out and looking forward to meeting you! HstryQT ( talk) 23:32, 6 October 2010 (UTC) reply

Got an Invite

I'm from Louisville, is there a catch to this or do we just show up? Admission costs? Can I bring friends? -- Urda ( talk) 23:43, 14 October 2010 (UTC) reply

Update: It could be as many as me + 6. We are all Students from the University of Louisville with diverse science backgounds (Physics, Biology, and Engineering represented) I hope that's Ok, if someone could let me know soon that would be awesome. -- Urda ( talk) 23:50, 14 October 2010 (UTC) reply

Hi there, great to see your interest. Are all or most of the others in your party Wikipedians? You can see the schedule details and FAQ on the event page to see if the plan for the day would be worth your drive (I hope that it would be). While the first half of the day will be a collections tour (photography welcomed), an important part of the day, following lunch, will be a meeting with TCM staff and the Wikipedia attendees of the day, discussing what content the museum will be providing, how Wikipedia can use it, and what other requests you all have of the museum. This is an important part of the day so I'd ask that you stay for it, if you're able. This is also why I ask if your whole party is made up of Wikipedians, because that is important for that discussion.
No cost, just enthusiasm and being open minded to helping out with our project! The Children's Museum has artifacts and content relating to lots of science backgrounds, so I do think it will be valuable for you. Let me know if you have any other questions and please do sign up if you think you can come, encouraging the others to do so as well. HstryQT ( talk) 00:12, 15 October 2010 (UTC) reply
I would imagine they would love to get involved in the project, I'll talk to them and see if we can get our work schedules made out for it! -- Urda ( talk) 00:26, 15 October 2010 (UTC) reply

Ride from Bloomington?
