I nominate ComputerGuy. The work he's done for WASH is certainly commendable, and his maturity rivals those twice his age. I think that certainly merits featured member for October. C L — 03:56, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

I'd like to nominate User:Ljthefro for January. Ljthefro is USRD's secret weapon for Nevada. When the project first started compiling state based statistics Nevada was dead last with well over 3/4ths of all Nevada road articles being stubs. On the IRC channel Nevada's road articles were even the butt of some jokes amongst some editors who were competing for stats. What those editors didn't realize is Nevada's road articles have been slowly improving, and the stub count slowly dropping, and Nevada is now ahead of several other states. Ljthefro has improved many former stubs to C or B status, and we're all waiting for him to get gutsy and nominate one for GA! =-) Dave ( talk) 23:23, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
OK, February was a rough update for the portal. In early 2008 we got a backlog of nominations for DYK, Featured Article, featured picture and featured editor. The latter half of 2008 we ran through those, and are now out. We need more nominations for pictures, articles and editors.
Here are some people that I think are more than deserving of Featured Editor and I submit for discussion by the larger group. I'm hoping to take this approach to get some more feedback, the process has been kinda lonely lately:

Maybe this predates my becoming active in this project...but why do we call the wikiwork update a "leaderboard"? My concern with this is that any non-project editor reading the blog could get the impression that there is a competition between state-level projects. There is no contest, so I don't think we should give any impression that there is. "WikiWork update" or something similar would be fine, with less emphasis in the commentary about changing placements. Just my thoughts... -- LJ ( talk) 05:02, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
