I was thinking about talking about the many articles needing photos, and then doing a story on some of the people who either answer photo requests or people who take a lot of featured photos. Not sure how to go about doing this other than asking as many people as I find who frequently upload photos. starsandwhales ( talk) 16:06, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
I'm putting up a tentative list of questions, feel free to tweak them or add more. I'm not sure if you want to do a second story regarding articles needing photos or include a small showcase of featured photos.

Hi
Charlesjsharp, I have a list of interview questions for you! Don't feel rushed to answer, as we have the rest of the month before this issue is sent out. If there's anything else you would like to address, feel free to do so.

1) How long have you been editing Wikipedia, and how did you get interested? How did you begin your journey of photographing wildlife?
2) Over the years, you've taken photos of many different organisms from birds to insects to big cats; you have an
extensive list of favorite images. Which animals have been the most exciting for you to photograph?
3) Many articles under ToL have requests for people to add images that can go unanswered. What can the community do to improve the coverage of different organisms on Wikipedia, especially when it comes to images?
4) What advice would you give to people new to photographing wildlife?
5) What would the Tree of Life community be surprised to learn about your life off-wiki?
* An example of cumbersome code: getting the layout of my responses to your questions. So dated, and no online spellchecker. Charlesjsharp ( talk) 09:00, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
Enwebb, I know you changed the header and the rest of the newsletter for talkpage accessibility and to make it take less space, however it doesn't quite work on different screen sizes. Also, for smaller screens such as tablets and phones, the title is unreadable. The banner image is nice, but I think it should either be modified so the text can fit on all screen sizes or be reverted to the original header. Which do you want to do? starsandwhales ( talk) 22:41, 21 July 2019 (UTC)
Hi Starsandwhales in the future could you make sure you get a green light from someone before publishing? In the past I've asked SchreiberBike for a copyedit before publishing. But we had a blank entry that hadn't been removed for GAs, I just now moved the pictures in the DYK section, and I hadn't done a final check through of FAs/GAs across the many subprojects. I think having two people agree that it's time to publish will be good in the future, should there continue to be multiple people involved here. Thanks, Enwebb ( talk) 19:16, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
