For all the Degrassi related pages, do I put the wikiproject link in it?
I was thinking of creating the exact same WikiProject... then I found out I'm too late, by about half a month. Oh well. hehe :D -→ Buchanan-Hermit ™/ ?! 19:53, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
That's alright. We need to do a bit of promotion to get more members. andrew 05:35, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm interested in helping out—although I don't have any experience in WikiProjects. Zoë 07:08, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I wanna join too. TPREX 01:54, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks alot TPREX 02:11, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
I was thinking, that in the future, if we have enough members, and guides and whatnot, that we could have a Degrassi Portal. Any comments? andrew 09:30, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Hello. The WikiProject Council is currently in the process of developing a master directory of the existing WikiProjects to replace and update the existing Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory. These WikiProjects are of vital importance in helping wikipedia achieve its goal of becoming truly encyclopedic. Please review the following pages:
and make any changes to the entries for your project that you see fit. There is also a directory of portals, at User:B2T2/Portal, listing all the existing portals. Feel free to add any of them to the portals or comments section of your entries in the directory. The three columns regarding assessment, peer review, and collaboration are included in the directory for both the use of the projects themselves and for that of others. Having such departments will allow a project to more quickly and easily identify its most important articles and its articles in greatest need of improvement. If you have not already done so, please consider whether your project would benefit from having departments which deal in these matters. It is my hope to have the existing directory replaced by the updated and corrected version of the directory above by November 1. Please feel free to make any changes you see fit to the entries for your project before then. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. Hello, all. It was initially my hope to try to have this done as part of Esperanza's proposal for an appreciation week to end on Wikipedia Day, January 15. However, several people have once again proposed the entirety of Esperanza for deletion, so that might not work. It was the intention of the Appreciation Week proposal to set aside a given time when the various individuals who have made significant, valuable contributions to the encyclopedia would be recognized and honored. I believe that, with some effort, this could still be done. My proposal is to, with luck, try to organize the various WikiProjects and other entities of wikipedia to take part in a larger celebrartion of its contributors to take place in January, probably beginning January 15, 2007. I have created yet another new subpage for myself (a weakness of mine, I'm afraid) at User talk:Badbilltucker/Appreciation Week where I would greatly appreciate any indications from the members of this project as to whether and how they might be willing and/or able to assist in recognizing the contributions of our editors. Thank you for your attention. Badbilltucker 16:21, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
I started creating a list of issues in Degrassi TNG here. I've done everything up to the end of season 4; but before I go any further, do you guys think a list like this is useful for Wikipedia? -→ Buchanan-Hermit™/ ?! 08:52, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
List of issues addressed in Degrassi: The Next Generation now exists, after weeks of work and re-watching/re-skimming of every Degrassi TNG episode to date. I'm pooped. But at least now the header for the TNG article won't have 5-8 lines just listing the issues addressed on the show. :) -→ Buchanan-Hermit™/ ?! 08:54, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
OK, I forget where exactly I saw this recently, but I do remember that it was a comment by an unregistered user. Anyway, they made a valid point: some of the character articles, as is, are rather redundant. Events are often described on the article for each character involved. Perhaps we can revisit the goal of creating episode articles; or even something to the tune of "Degrassi: The Next Generation episodes, Season x" wherein detailed summaries exist for each episode of Season x. What I'd worry about though is where character biographies would be left if the events were (re)moved from them. Thoughts? -- TS1 23:40, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Ok I'll be glad to join and contribute but I don't have an account and won't be creating one due to personal reasons. Anyways, if you see a couple edits by a random IP, it's most likely me as my IP changes.
If you have any image requests relating to the show, I will be willing to provide screenshots. It's much easier if you give me the specifics (such as episode... or time frame is possible). Just make a request here or something and I'll try to respond to it. As I'm not a member and cannot upload images, if a request is made, I'll simply just upload it to imageshack and relink it back here to ensure a smooth transition of the picture. My collection extends from the first season to the current one however, the quality in the fifth season is lacking.
I'll try my best to edit all aspects of The Degrassi Universe but I most likely may be busy and will not be able to fulfill requests/do page edits and additions until some time is made available.
Some major areas of focus:
-- 64.229.220.235 05:11, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Ok for each individual series, i think that the procedure is that the image should be the logo. So for Degrassi TNG could somebody put that up there instead? And maybe for the main series article (Degrassi) we could actually have the pictures of the various people from the different series (like the one used for the Degrassi TNG article now) or something. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.229.225.212 ( talk) 13:18, 15 January 2007 (UTC).
Should we split Category:Degrassi characters into separate ones, for the different Degrassi series? -→ Buchanan-Hermit™/ ?! 04:32, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
I think we should have a Maunual of Style for our Degrassi character articles. There are only 9 Good articles on fictional characters ( James Bond, Darth Vader, Donut (Red vs. Blue), Pauline Fowler, Max Rebo Band, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Sarlacc, Homer Simpson, Storm). I also want to mention the Buffy Summers article, which isn't classified as good, but it's probably about B-Class on the wiki asssesment scale. Maybe if we took some ideas from their articles are come up with a style which we use on the Degrassi Characters article, the quality of those articles could greatly improve. Some facts should be included is a bio of character, impact, and other good details for a good article. -- theblueflamingo Speak 05:49, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
I agree. I've tried rewriting a few articles, but i'm not quite sure what we're going for in the character articles. An official WikiProject Degrassi manuel of style for character articles would help out alot. TPREX 02:14, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
I changed the talk page template a bit, and now we have a assessment scale. I decided to leave the importance one out. So, from now on, feel free to assess an article or two when you get the chance. I did a few for now. -- theblueflamingo Speak 06:21, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure if you're aware, but Degrassi's 40 Go There-ist Moments on The-N has been deleted before after an AfD debate (found here. The old version had the entire 40 moments listed, but was determined to be too fan-crufty to be a Wikipedia article, hence the deletion. Perhaps this should me merged into another article altogether, because I can see the reasons why it was too fan crufty and has a high chance of being re-deleted. -→ Buchanan-Hermit™/ ?! 00:09, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
You think we should make a mall article? Though we don't even know its name, its been featured in countless episodes and we could list the retail outlets in it. Or something like that —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.229.4.217 ( talk) 14:42, 24 January 2007 (UTC).
Since everybody's practically in high school an are hardly married, should we change spouse to something more practical? Like romantic relationship or somethign —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Xallium ( talk • contribs) 13:07, 25 January 2007 (UTC).
The , as well as many other actors by series categories have for some reason been nominated for deletion here. Please voice your opinion on the matter. Personally, I feel the cat. is very useful for wikiprojects such as ours, and it could harm us a bit. Thanks. -- theblueflamingo confab 03:22, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Hallo all, I'm currently involved in an improvement drive to limit the amount of various "Episode infoboxes" that exist in wikipedia. This drive comes from several points 1: maintenance. having many almost the same infoboxes makes it harder to present a consistent look. 2: Showspecific infoboxes tend to stick information from the fictional work smack down in the middle of "real world" information 3: they are often used for recurring elements in episodes which are often just trivia or running gags 4: they tend to be used to "pick my own color". All cute and funny, but not very handy. {{ Infobox D:TNG episode}} is one of these templates. I would like to replace it on all D:TNG pages, and would like to merge the "title song" info back in to the article in some way. The colortheme will be lost by this process, but you can get it back by using {{ television colour}} if you really want to. I'm just informing the project in advance and would like to hear your comments. -- TheDJ ( talk • contribs • WikiProject Television) 01:55, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
For List of Degrassi: The Next Generation characters, I am suggesting that the list be put in order by the amount of episodes the character has appeared in, then alphabetically if needed. Also, the last time I checked a LIST doesn't require a paragraph per item for explanation. Fortyfeet 00:11, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Could someone please check out this editors contributions and tag and link to/from the episode list. They may also require watching due to some odd edits. Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 00:28, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
The WikiProject Television episode coverage taskforce have recently been working on a review process for episode articles. There are a rash of articles about individual episodes which fail notability, and are unlikely to ever reach such requirements. Many contributors are unaware of the specific guidelines to assess notability in episode pages: Wikipedia:Television episodes. We have expanded these guidelines to make them more helpful and explanatory, and we invite you to read the guidelines, and make any comments on its talk page. After much discussion, we have created a proposed review process for dealing with problem articles. See: Wikipedia:Television article review process. We invite discussion of this process on its talk page. General comments about this whole process are welcome at the episode coverage taskforce talkpage. Thanks! Gwinva 10:13, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
An article that you have been involved in editing, List of minor Degrassi: The Next Generation characters, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of minor Degrassi: The Next Generation characters. Thank you. — Disavian ( talk/ contribs) 20:45, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
WP:FICT, the notability guideline for elements within a work of fiction (characters, places, elements, etc) has a new proposal/revision that is now live [1] Everyone is encouraged to leave feedback on the talk page. Ned Scott 22:08, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
There is a proposal to split WP:EPISODE into a more general notability guideline, Wikipedia:Notability (serial works), and make the rest of WP:EPISODE just a MOS guideline. As you may have heard, we at the Wikipedia 1.0 Editorial Team recently made some changes to the assessment scale, including the addition of a new level. The new description is available at WP:ASSESS.
Each WikiProject should already have a new C-Class category at Category:C-Class_articles. If your project elects not to use the new level, you can simply delete your WikiProject's C-Class category and clarify any amendments on your project's assessment/discussion pages. The bot is already finding and listing C-Class articles.
Please leave a message with us if you have any queries regarding the introduction of the revised scheme. This scheme should allow the team to start producing offline selections for your project and the wider community within the next year. Thanks for using the Wikipedia 1.0 scheme! Dear WikiProject Degrassi participants... WikiProject Media franchises needs some help from other projects which are similar. Media franchises' scope deals primarily with the coordination of articles within the hundreds if not thousands of media franchises which exist. Sometimes a franchise might just need color coordination of the various templates used; it could mean creating an article for the franchise as a jump off point for the children of it; or the creation of a new templating system for media franchise articles. The project primarily focuses on multimedia franchises. It would be great if some of this project's participants would come over and help the project get back on solid footing. Also, if you know of similar projects which have not received this, let Lady Aleena ( talk · contribs) know. Please come and take a look at the project and see if you wish to lend a hand. You can sign up here if you wish. Thank you. LA @ 21:30, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Dear WikiProject Degrassi participants... WikiProject Media franchises is currently discussing a naming convention for franchise articles. Since this may affect one or more articles in your project, we would like to get the opinions of all related projects before implimenting any sweeping changes. Please come and help us decide. Thanks! Wikipedia 0.7 is a collection of English Wikipedia articles due to be released on DVD, and available for free download, later this year. The Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team has made an automated selection of articles for Version 0.7.
We would like to ask you to review the articles selected from this project. These were chosen from the articles with this project's talk page tag, based on the rated importance and quality. If there are any specific articles that should be removed, please let us know at Wikipedia talk:Version 0.7. You can also nominate additional articles for release, following the procedure at Wikipedia:Release Version Nominations.
A list of selected articles with cleanup tags, sorted by project, is available. The list is automatically updated each hour when it is loaded. Please try to fix any urgent problems in the selected articles. A team of copyeditors has agreed to help with copyediting requests, although you should try to fix simple issues on your own if possible.
We would also appreciate your help in identifying the version of each article that you think we should use, to help avoid vandalism or POV issues. These versions can be recorded at this project's subpage of User:SelectionBot/0.7. We are planning to release the selection for the holiday season, so we ask you to select the revisions before October 20. At that time, we will use an automatic process to identify which version of each article to release, if no version has been manually selected. Thanks! Look I'm not a member of the project or anything; but I thought I would let you guys know what a mess all of the D:TNG character pages are. Hello, there. At this current FLC, an editor commented that they felt the image in the infobox section was a little big. The image in question is 200px wide, which is within the norm for episodes list as far as I understand. The editor added, "This in a way goes against WIAFL Cr 6, Visual appeal. because the image is very distracting. I would consult with the respective project(s) to discuss reducing the default size for the images in the infobox." It seems to me that the consensus about infobox image width in episodes lists goes against the FLC criteria. Your input is welcomed. Rosenknospe ( talk) 21:56, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Hi! I'd like to draw your attention to the new WikiProject coordinators' working group, an effort to bring both official and unofficial WikiProject coordinators together so that the projects can more easily develop consensus and collaborate. This group has been created after discussion regarding possible changes to the A-Class review system, and that may be one of the first things discussed by interested coordinators.
All designated project coordinators are invited to join this working group. If your project hasn't formally designated any editors as coordinators, but you are someone who regularly deals with coordination tasks in the project, please feel free to join as well. — Delievered by §hepBot ( Disable) on behalf of the WikiProject coordinators' working group at 05:15, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows ( full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here.
If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to
report bugs and
request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a
"news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the display=none
parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at
Wikipedia talk:Article alerts.
Message sent by User:Addbot to all active wiki projects per request, Comments on the message and bot are welcome here.
Thanks. — Headbomb { ταλκ κοντριβς – WP Physics} 09:04, 15 March, 2009 (UTC)
This message is being sent to each WikiProject that participates in the WP 1.0 assessment system. On Saturday, January 23, 2010, the WP 1.0 bot will be upgraded. Your project does not need to take any action, but the appearance of your project's summary table will change. The upgrade will make many new, optional features available to all WikiProjects. Additional information is available at the WP 1.0 project homepage. — Carl ( CBM · talk) 03:12, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
I have only been watch DTNG for a year now, and I know it has aired on MuchMusic later in the week than CTV. I was wondering when did it start airing on Much, it should be included on Degrassi: The Next Generation. 117Avenue ( talk) 02:34, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
I have nominated Degrassi: The Next Generation for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. 117Avenue ( talk) 03:31, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
I'm not sure how many people monitor WP:MOSTV or even WP:TV (the basic WikiProject for all of us), but we've been trying to get some feedback on additions to the TV Manual of Style. It largely has to do with the inclusion of "Overview" tables at the start of the page, the order in which season lists are presented (currently, there is no concrete order), and what is considered too much info for DVDs (i.e. should we be placing every detail about the box set in the article, from each interview to the aspect ratio, or should be keep it more generalized). Please see discussion at WT:MOSTV#Updates to the MOS. Thank you. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 22:07, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Version 0.8 is a collection of Wikipedia articles selected by the Wikipedia 1.0 team for offline release on USB key, DVD and mobile phone. Articles were selected based on their assessed importance and quality, then article versions (revisionIDs) were chosen for trustworthiness (freedom from vandalism) using an adaptation of the WikiTrust algorithm.
We would like to ask you to review the Degrassi articles and revisionIDs we have chosen. Selected articles are marked with a diamond symbol (♦) to the right of each article, and this symbol links to the selected version of each article. If you believe we have included or excluded articles inappropriately, please contact us at Wikipedia talk:Version 0.8 with the details. You may wish to look at your WikiProject's articles with cleanup tags and try to improve any that need work; if you do, please give us the new revisionID at Wikipedia talk:Version 0.8. We would like to complete this consultation period by midnight UTC on Monday, October 11th.
We have greatly streamlined the process since the Version 0.7 release, so we aim to have the collection ready for distribution by the end of October, 2010. As a result, we are planning to distribute the collection much more widely, while continuing to work with groups such as One Laptop per Child and Wikipedia for Schools to extend the reach of Wikipedia worldwide. Please help us, with your WikiProject's feedback!

The article Heather Farrell has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. The
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach

It has been suggested that WikiProject Degrassi be merged into WikiProject Television as a task force since the project might be inactive or semi-active. After reviewing this project that it appears that there have not been any active discussion on the talk page in some time and the only content updates appear to be simple maintenance so being supported by a larger project might be beneficial. If you have questions or comments, please let us know. JJ98 ( Talk / Contributions) 08:32, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
Even though I doubt many remain members of this project, I would like to discuss the date format being used on Degrassi related articles. In accordance with the first portion of the first point of WP:DATERET, many Degrassi articles use primarily one date style, dmy. However, the remainder of the first point states that it can be changed based on a national tie. I believe that most of English speaking Canada uses mdy, and that Degrassi has a strong following in the United States, which also uses mdy. For this reason I would like to change the date format used on articles in this project to mdy, despite what WP:STRONGNAT says. 117Avenue ( talk) 23:55, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
I'll start then. 117Avenue ( talk) 01:43, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Hi all,
My name is Adi Khajuria and I am helping out with Wikimania 2014 in London.
One of our initiatives is to create leaflets to increase the discoverability of various wikimedia projects, and showcase the breadth of activity within wikimedia. Any kind of project can have a physical paper leaflet designed - for free - as a tool to help recruit new contributors. These leaflets will be printed at Wikimania 2014, and the designs can be re-used in the future at other events and locations.
This is particularly aimed at highlighting less discoverable but successful projects, e.g:
• Active Wikiprojects: Wikiproject Medicine, WikiProject Video Games, Wikiproject Film
• Tech projects/Tools, which may be looking for either users or developers.
• Less known major projects: Wikinews, Wikidata, Wikivoyage, etc.
• Wiki Loves Parliaments, Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves ____
• Wikimedia thematic organisations, Wikiwomen’s Collaborative, The Signpost
The deadline for submissions is 1st July 2014
For more information or to sign up for one for your project, go to:

Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! (Also, sorry about the posting mistake earlier. If someone already moved my message to the talk page, feel free to remove this posting.) Harej ( talk) 22:47, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Hello everyone!
You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.

I'm treating this as a new series, even though all the leads are being carried over from season 14 of the current show, as opposed to actually creating this as if it were only a season. -- Zanimum ( talk) 14:59, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
A new Newsletter directory has been created to replace the old, out-of-date one. If your WikiProject and its taskforces have newsletters (even inactive ones), or if you know of a missing newsletter (including from sister projects like WikiSpecies), please include it in the directory! The template can be a bit tricky, so if you need help, just post the newsletter on the template's talk page and someone will add it for you.
Hello and greetings from the maintainers of the WP 1.0 Bot! As you may or may not know, we are currently involved in an overhaul of the bot, in order to make it more modern and maintainable. As part of this process, we will be rewriting the web tool that is part of the project. You might have noticed this tool if you click through the links on the project assessment summary tables.
We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used by....you! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you? We have collected all of these questions at this Google form where you can leave your response. Walkerma ( talk) 04:24, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
I invite editors to join the discussion at WP:WikiProject Television to convert many inactive WikiProjects into taskforces, including this one. – sgeureka t• c 12:54, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
I have been expanding many articles pertaining to the original series because this taskforce/WikiProject is heavily biased towards The Next Generation. I believe this taskforce, as inactive as it is, should now concentrate on covering the original series. ToQ100gou! ToQ100gou! Shupatsu Shinkou! ( the chitter-chatter) 01:45, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

There is a redirect from Rick Murray to List of Degrassi: The Next Generation characters#Rick, but I can't find a list entry for Rick Murray. The history of Rick Murray shows that there was previously an article that has been cut down to a redirect, but the redirect doesn't seem to be to a list entry. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Hi all,
My name is Adi Khajuria and I am helping out with Wikimania 2014 in London.

I have nominated Degrassi: The Next Generation for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here.
I invite editors to join the discussion at WP:WikiProject Television to close inactive task forces, including this one. Gonnym ( talk) 12:08, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
Hi, I have created a draft for biography : /info/en/?search=Draft:Zo%C3%AB_Belkin. She plays Athena in Dirt Off Your Shoulder. I need some feedback and suggestion to improve the article so it can be accepted. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Reg.AmPm ( talk • contribs) 16:18, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
Or is the list missing something? Robert McClenon ( talk) 18:18, 5 May 2022 (UTC)
