{{ resolved}} What happened to the automatic queue trimming? StaticGull Talk 15:32, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
{{ resolved}} Hi. Is there a way (or may I request an enhancement) to filter for a range of IP addresses? I had been using WikiMonitor to patrol the anonymous edits coming from the schools using our Class B, and would like to start using Huggle instead. Thanks in advance. -- NERIC-Security ( talk) 15:48, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
I saw Wikipedia on Firefox that I had "new messages" from a user. I didn't look at my user talk page, and opened in Huggle some diffs, used "view this revision", "Edit this page" and then "preview" and Huggle never showed me that I have new messages. Got back to Firefox and opened a random page on pt.wikipedia, there it was "You got new messages". I think I read somewhere that Huggle inform us that we have new messages.
Hey, I think in the next version, the error messages should be more informative. I think "Unable to login" or "Failed to load global configuration page" could include information like "Cannot find server" / "No internet connection" / etc so that people know why it did not work. Also, I'd like to see error reports generated on crashes to allow better identification of a problem that caused a crash. So Why review me! 17:05, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
I pressed "Q" to revert and warn an user, but I noticed that I used the wrong warning. So I undid the warning and warned the user again, using the correct warning template. But now Huggle used a level 2 warning for it instead of a level 1 warning. So Why 19:01, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Add option in context menu (menu that is shown when we click with right mouse button) while we have text selected on diff panel to search in Goggle if is a copy from somewhere (copyright violations, etc). Note: if we select ABS G DG DGF, should search "ABS G DG DGF" to find an exact phrase.

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Huggle.Main.Initialize() at Huggle.LoginForm.Done() at Huggle.Misc.CallbackInvoke(Object TargetObject)
It occurs when I use it on the es-wiki.

In 0.8.1 version I got one problem. When I click in button "tag this page" and then click "Speedy..." button. Dialog box/window it's fine, but if I choose a Reason in drop-down menu, "OK" and "Cancel" buttons are placed under reason field and I almost can't click on those buttons (got to be very precise clicking on a 2 pixels button). If I choose another template in reason drop menu again, I can't do nothing besides closing that dialog box because I don't see buttons and reason drop down menu. They are placed under title dialog box. Mosca ( talk) 11:43, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
It seems that Huggle won't adjust the number of the malicious edit on AIV above that of six [4]. StaticGull Talk 17:02, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
In the messages that Huggle warns, at the end is a short "Thanks." Since most user warnings end with "Thank you," and since Wikipedia is kind of a formal place, I thought of the idea that at the end of a message Huggle leaves on a user's talk page, "Thanks" should be changed to "Thank you." Is it just me, or is the new version slower than the previous version? Especially when Huggle is reverting an edit or warning a user, loading pages is very slow. Also, sometimes when I try to revert an edit, it shows that it is being reverted (the message is displayed at the bottom) but after a while the message disappears and the edit is not reverted. This is not because of an edit conflict or another user had already reverted it, as the vandal edit is still there. Chamal Talk ± 05:16, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Although in no way essential, it would be rather nifty to have Huggle configure the vandalism information template at the press of a button. StaticGull Talk 12:40, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
It seems there may be a small issue with reverting in the new 0.8.1 version. Over the last two days i noticed several times that if an user edits a page before my revert is passed trough, both the vandals edit and the legitimate users edit is reverted, no matter if the user is a whitelisted user. The problem lies in this: "Reverted 2 edits by Fieldday-sunday and 92.43.64.77 to an older version by 92.43.64.77". The revert tackles the vandalism, then reverts another user (In this case a vandalism patrol) and then ends up restoring a vandalism version from the original vandal. These diffs are examples of this: [5] [6] [7] Excirial ( Talk, Contribs) 14:11, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
This is what happens:
1:(cur) (last) 15:26, 18 September 2008 Excirial (Talk | contribs) m (9,873 bytes) (Reverted 2 edits by Fieldday-sunday and 92.43.64.77 to an older version by 92.43.64.77 (HG)) (undo) 2:(cur) (last) 15:25, 18 September 2008 Fieldday-sunday (Talk | contribs) m (9,868 bytes) (Reverted edits by 92.43.64.77 to last version by Ossmann (HG)) (undo) 3:(cur) (last) 15:25, 18 September 2008 92.43.64.77 (Talk) (9,872 bytes) (→Concept cars) (undo) 4:(cur) (last) 15:24, 18 September 2008 92.43.64.77 (Talk) (9,873 bytes) (→Concept) (undo)
I am not intentionally reverting only one of the vandals edits; Huggle seems to make that decision on its own. I am fairly certain i didn't mix up a setting because huggle will revert as expected in case a vandal makes several edits in a row. (IE: if i would have pressed revert before edit number 2 would have been made, all the edits 92.43.64.77 made in a row are reverted, no matter if its 2 or 20). I hope this clarifies the situation a little bit. Excirial ( Talk, Contribs) 19:49, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I'm using Version 0.7.12 because 0.8.1 doesn't work on my Vista Home Premium laptop, I have .NET Framework 2.0 installed as well. Just to add to this issue, I've been figuring out how to fix this and found that my usual account can login whereas my doppelgänger account cannot and crashes as others mentioned. Only difference between the two was that this account has SUL whereas my Huggle-only account does not. Migrated my Huggle account to SUL and now it logs in fine. Why exactly it now seemingly requires SUL active accounts is beyond me but it solved it for me and may be the same for others. treelo radda 19:22, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Unified accounts have different session cookies to non-unified accounts; Huggle has to be able to deal with both cases. My guess is that something changed which broke Huggle's interpretation of non-unified session cookies --

Note: this bug sometimes happen, not always, don't know why. So the following description is when it "happens". Until now always happened, but I verified it again and it doesn't! Huggle must be joking!
When I see 1 diff (Huggle loads only last 2 edits to that page):
But there are 2 situations where I can see the last diff again:
Option to always show certain users in "Filtered changes", although they are in White List because Huggle adds them automatically. Could be in another list "Grey List" or something. Can be useful if we want to patrol certain users like "Commons Delinker" with a lot of edits or others users each wikipedia project could choose. This option is for those projects Huggle communities/projects who decide to automatically add users with more than XX edits but at the same time exclude from filter some users witch have those edits.
In "contributions bar" where it shows those little colored boxes, should have a little extra space if previous contributions where made some time ago (1 week for example).
This idea could be in "History" too, showing a little extra space between recent edits and previous edits made a week before. I think this idea is only useful to see if an anonymous user made vandalism recently to other pages. It's not important to see differences more than 1 week before because most IP change regularly, and the same IP can be used to good faith edits and bad faith edits.
Previously reported in Wikipedia:Huggle/Feedback/Archive 9#Bugs:
It seems "Href=" problem happens in any edit, doesn't matter witch users/edits/pages, doing the following sequence for example:
But (after doing those previous steps):
In version 0.8.1 it's not anymore "Href=". Now shows Io:Mosca (not yet written) or Io:Mosca (Mosca it's just an user example) in user field. For anonymous edits shows Ribui%C3%A7%C3%B5es/201.3.223.128 instead of 201.3.223.128. May be it's because of
pt:Especial:Contribuições/201.3.223.128 special page name in portuguese, equivalent to
Special:Contributions/201.3.223.128. Like in previous version, this can be "fixed" if I click in "History" button in Huggle.

Hi.
Thank you for this very nice tool. It is used more and more often on the German Wikipedia. But on de-WP we use Flagged Revisions, so it would be nice to have a button in order to mark a version as "sighted" and go to the next edit. The Russian Wikipedia also uses flagged revisions. -- Euku 15:53, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Heyho,
is it possible to integrate in Huggle, that in german wikipedia users do automatic sight a version, when next version in tab on the left side get clicked? Another button is senceful, to skip version, without sighting. That would be very excellent, for this at this time much excellent tool! Greetings from Dresden,

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to create an option to open the warn "box" (labeled as advanced) upon pressing the warn key rather than having the warn drop down menu open. I am suggesting this because I normally only (I'm assuming others are in the same boat too) need to do a revert and then warn if I am skipping a warning level like going from level one warning to three, or starting off at a level two. It makes it a lot easier than hitting w, then manually opening the advanced box. Dadude3320 21:36, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

I just had something very unusual happen to me while using Huggle 0.7.12.
I was doing reverts and stuff to vandalism, and recently received a "RickK Anti-Vandalism Barn-star". A few minutes later, I go to do a revert, and I get this dialog that says "You have been blocked from editing." I feel my heart shoot right though my body, down the second floor, and onto the basement floor. I'm thinking: Oh ^&%#. Wtf did I do!? I go to my talk page in Firefox, and I see no indication of me being blocked in my talk page. The same goes for my user page.
I go back into huggle, and attempt to do a revert, and it works like normal again. So what the heck happened there? It scared the heck outta me. Is it a glitch, or was I actually blocked for a split second? -- Vandalism destroyer ( talk) 03:44, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Just downloaded Huggle today, (newest version gives me the same exceptions as the ones posted above so I'm using the older one) and whenever I try to login, knowing my password is correct, it always gives me an "Unable to login" message. I have no firewall connected and no proxy settings, so I'm really unsure as to what could be causing this. Any help would be appreciated :) -- 60.242.106.22 ( talk) 09:05, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Can something be done to stop huggle crashing when the connection fails? I guess this is not a problem that everyone has, but my connection is rubbish and keeps on disconnecting. Every time that happens, huggle crashes and I have to restart it (and huggle is not that quick starting, so the waiting drives me nuts). It'd be nice if something can be done to keep huggle on standby or something until the connection is re-established. Chamal Talk ± 12:46, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Dialog box/window it's fine, but if I choose a Reason in drop-down menu, "OK" and "Cancel" buttons are placed under reason field and I almost can't click on those buttons (got to be very precise clicking on a 2 pixels button).

I am not intentionally reverting only one of the vandals edits; Huggle seems to make that decision on its own. I am fairly certain i didn't mix up a setting because huggle will revert as expected in case a vandal makes several edits in a row. (IE: if i would have pressed revert before edit number 2 would have been made, all the edits 92.43.64.77 made in a row are reverted, no matter if its 2 or 20). I hope this clarifies the situation a little bit. Excirial ( Talk, Contribs) 19:49, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Like in previous version, this can be "fixed" if I click in "History" button in Huggle.

is it possible to integrate in Huggle, that in german wikipedia users do automatic sight a version, when next version in tab on the left side get clicked? I hadn't gotten an emailed version for a long while and today I finally wondered by to see why and found that we're downloading it ourselves now. I did so uneventfully, but when I tried to run it it immediately gave me the following error even before bringing up the login page.
NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at Huggle.LoginForm.OK_Click() at Huggle.LoginForm._Lambda$__120(Object a0, EventArgs a1) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mevent) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
I can click "continue" to bring up the login page, but the project list is blank and typing in my login information just brings back the same error. I have FF and Chrome running and tried firing up my IE to see if that made a difference, nada. Any hints here would be appreciated. — Elipongo ( Talk contribs) 03:33, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I just checked again. I'm getting two different error messages- one before the login dialog and another one after it. Then, of course, I can't log in since the project field is blank. Here are the error messages:
After clicking my desktop shortcut and before the login dialog:

After clicking "continue" to the previous error and filling out my login information, there comes this error:

Please, any help would be appreciated here. The program won't work and I really miss using it! — Elipongo ( Talk contribs) 14:59, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Found out how to fix it. Download the latest version of that NET framework stuff. 2.0 doesnt't seem to like it or something.
I moved the page in Huggle (version 0.8.1) pt:Sascsi to pt:Serial Attached SCSI as we can see here successfully but Huggle shows in log:

I tried it again in another page and shows me the same error although Huggle moved the page. Mosca ( talk) 06:03, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

This is very bad. -- Closedmouth ( talk) 09:41, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Huggle becomes VERY resource intensive whenever I switch to the "All changes" queue, to the point that it locks up my computer. Now i'm not sure, but I think this might have to do with the fact that my cpu is only rated at 700 mhz. just wanted to let you know. Vandalism destroyer ( talk) 00:34, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Mkay, i can't stand how slow this version is compared to 7.12. It is possible to make a version thats far less resource intensive, so instead of using fancy 3D icons with shading and whatnot, just use flat textured icons. This would be a nice version for someone like me with a very old and slow computer Vandalism destroyer ( talk) 00:34, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Well when my computer froze, the all changes list was like 500 changes long. I've sinced changed the settings to trim all changes to 1 minute long, and it works better, but still seems slower than 7.12
I just got done using Huggle, and the program automatically updated the whitelist, but it instead went to the title that "Grawp" moved to. How can it be? The Whitelist page should be move-protected, so this won't happen in the future. Schfifty Three 00:25, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. For some reason, when I log in to huggle, I get an error message shortly thereafter saying "Huggle has encountered a problem and needs to close" and that type of crap. It happened on both the previous and current version of huggle. What i think the problem has to do with my recently removed and regained RB rights.
