This is a writing/communication course for upper-level biology majors. The course exposes them to writing for diverse audiences, and focuses on adjusting their style/language based on the audience. They work in groups on a Wikipedia article, and they can choose to either create an entirely new page (often about a species that doesn't yet have it's own Wikipedia page), or to substantially revise an article that's a stub article or rated as needing improvement.

You should understand the policies that are in place for Wikipedia from the introductory modules. Now learn more about the tools you can use. Also, review the traning on plagiarism.

Assignment - Evaluate Wikipedia

Do NOT do the optional exercise and do NOT fill in the entire form. You will do this process to find three Wikipedia articles and save Evaluate an Article Templates in your sandbox for each. You need to find a C-class article of your choice, an article that needs a citation of your choice, and pick one article from the Articles->Available Articles that you wish to edit (these are Stubs).

When you are finished, post links to your articles in a thread of the Wiki Topics discussion on BBLearn (add to a thread if it is the same topic).
