“The meaning of knowing has shifted from being able to remember and repeat to being able to FIND and USE it…More than ever the sheer magnitude of human knowledge renders its coverage by education an impossibility; rather the goal of education is better perceived as helping students develop the intellectual tools and learning strategies needed to acquire the knowledge that allows people to think productively” (Bransford, Brown, and Cocking, 2000). This course will explore the impact of the Technology Age and how the rapid development of technology and the accessibility of information has impacted the learning, skill acquisition and what is means to be a knowledgeable and educated person in the 21st century.
