Reason: IP self-request unblock, claims no longer a proxy. See IP talk page. This must be part of a rangeblock, because this single IP is not currently blocked. -- Jayron 32 05:21, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

I left a note for the blocking admin, Jamesofur, who is also an OTRS agent. From the wording of the block notice, I assume that Dreamhost LLC requested this rangeblock. I doubt that we should take an undocumented request from a lone IP as enough reason to undo the block. EdJohnston ( talk) 15:22, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
{{ declined}} per Ed. No response from Jamesofur, but the IP is still a dedicated server and thus an easily avoidable proxy (though it doesn't appear to be open as such). -- zzuuzz (talk) 08:04, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Reason: A user has made an unblock request at User talk:169.231.5.83, saying "This is not an open proxy. This is actually a UCSB IP address." JamesBWatson ( talk) 09:45, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
