Welcome to the eleventh edition of the Bugle for 2017!
The regular article news section covers a diverse set of topics and many new articles, including the biggest selection of FAs since April. In something of a rarity these days, one article managed to pass both an A-class review and a FA nomination the same month. The section also includes the first FAs for two editors - congratulations Onceinawhile and Billmckern. The book reviews section features an unusually large and wide-ranging collection of recent external reviews, which might be helpful in assembling Christmas lists!
TomStar81 has once again contributed a pair of articles to mark the centenary of World War I. His op-ed provides an interesting insight into late-war naval combat on the North Sea, covering a pair of battles. Tom's regular summary of this month 100 years ago includes a great many battles and political developments, including the start of the series of Central Power offensives which created one of the main crises of the war.
