Ugh. This week was not a good one, from the United States withdrawing from the Paris Agreement to the death of Gregg Allman. Anyway, though, let's get on with the report.

For the week of May 28 to June 3, 2017, the 25 most popular articles on Wikipedia, as determined from the WP:5000 report were:

It was never legally binding, but still, what kind of world do we want our grandchildren, or even my generation, to live in? Venus stands as an example, I think, to not let stuff get too hot. Let's not end up like that.
2	Wonder Woman (2017 film)		1,542,809		Myself, I'm not really into this kind of movie, but it seems to be doing well. Gal Gadot plays the lead.

4	Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales		1,165,298		More movies... Again, I'm not really into this type of thing, but this one doesn't seem to be as well received as the last one. Honestly, all I know about Pirates of the Caribbean is the theme song, and that's just because we played it in band in November. Good theme at least...
5	Zaha Hadid		983,816		A Google Doodle marked the anniversary of her death on the 31st. An architect, she received the Stirling Prize twice and seems to be acclaimed in the field.
6	Pirates of the Caribbean (film series)		839,337		See #4.
7	Gregg Allman		821,632		Well, he was a musician. He was born on the 8th of a month at the edge of 1947. He died at the age of 69 from liver cancer. Sound familiar? Truly, though, Gregg Allman was quite a good musician and shall be remembered for such.
8	List of highest-grossing Indian films		768,625		Driven here by perennial popularity.
9	Deaths in 2017		701,686		We continue to monitor the list of our dearly (and, honestly, a few not-so-dearly) departed.
10	Baahubali 2: The Conclusion		686,104		S. S. Rajamouli's film continues to be the highest Indian film on this chart, but lost its title as highest-grossing Indian film of all time to Dangal last week.
11	Kathy Griffin		684,226		Ladies and gentlemen, we have one person, who has been bragging about sexually assaulting women and isn't much better to his own daughter. Another person poses with a fake bloody, decapitated head of the previously mentioned person. Who becomes president, and who is fired? Yep, folks, that's right, the second person was fired, and [cue drumroll] THE FIRST PERSON WAS ALREADY PRESIDENT!! And this is the world we live in today. (We're almost to 88, Doc! Let's get out of this time!)
12	Memorial Day		639,170		The last Monday in May (which was May 29 this year), the day that the United States chose to honour its war dead, not only marks the unofficial beginning of summer (for those that typically have not been affected by war... have some sense people), but this year fell on the 100th birthday of John F. Kennedy. However, it did fall 123,215 views and 7 places on the list, but this year has been so crazy, I'm not really surprised.
13	Gilbert Baker (artist)		618,655		A Google Doodle celebrated the birthday of the designer of the LGBT pride flag, who died earlier this year. Interestingly, the flag used to have eight colors, but two colors were dropped for practicality.
14	Grassmarket		590,128		Reddit here, detailing that a prisoner was put to death and hanged, but then survived and was released on a technicality. Oh, the things one learns on the Internet. Here's the link.
15	Fidget spinner		580,345		Ugh. Not only are fidget spinners not helpful according to science, they are also horribly distracting in the classroom and could be dangerous. Would a fidget spinner really not cause damage if it was dropped onto a trumpet? I don't really want to find out, myself.
16	Opinion polling for the United Kingdom general election, 2017		559,783		Theresa May seems to have failed on this one. At the time of my writing this, the Conservative Party is behind, but of course, I'm writing this after these people actually looked at it, so it was different then...
17	Carlos Kaiser (footballer)		551,489		Another Reddit discovery here, this time about this footballer who apparently totally sucked but still managed to have a decently long career by never actually playing in a game.
18	Grumman LLV		519,898		Another Reddit discovery, this time about the abysmal gas mileage of postal deliverers. Just another negligible increase to the speed of the increasing entropy of the universe.
19	Tiger Woods		506,218		Seems to have been arrested for a DUI. Great. Another celebrity arrested.
20	Baywatch (film)		496,449		See #4 for my opinion, minus the part about the theme.
21	House of Cards (U.S. TV series)		495,971		The fifth season was released on the thirtieth. The third season seems to have been released on the day that Leonard Nimoy died, but that seems to be a bit irrelevant. The political drama theme, I think, seems to go along nicely with #1.
22	The Handmaid's Tale		481,345		The 1985 dystopian novel that inspired the TV series, undoubtedly has a few more views due to people worried about the current state of affairs in the United States.
23	Donald Trump		471,429		Donald John Trump was elected president of the United States in November. However, I think I can adequately summarize many people's opinions about him with a quote from Luke Skywalker: "NOOOOOOOOOOO!"
24	War Machine (film)		470,367		Another film I don't know anything about. It does have better reviews than half of the other films on the list, though.
25	Those Who Trespass		455,102		ANOTHER REDDIT ITEM. WILL THEY NEVER END? The book seems to be a slightly more dystopic version of the author's life. Here's the link.
