Let's hear it for Star Wars, Star Wars, Star Wars

Despite the hiccup last year, Star Wars is still the powerhouse that gets new movies atop the Report as soon as they come out, and brings along two more entries (not counting the Disney+ holdover). There are six more articles related to movies, half of whom (#10, #18, #19) relate to the Streaming Empire, which also decided to showcase a warrior (#8) comparable to The Mandalorian (#6) and someone who definitely fell for the Dark Side (#10). There's a good reason for all these entertainment entries, which also include music (#17), regular TV (#20), and sports (#22, #25), as people just want to forget politics flaming up in both the United States (#3-5, #9, #15, #16) and India (#2, #13). Some would say death (#11) is preferrable to all this outcry.

1	Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker		3,788,471		Two years after the release of The Last Jedi, an entirely uncontroversial and unanimously adored film which certainly didn't utterly consume and destroy intergalactic discourse, the final episodic installment in the Skywalker saga has been released to muted reactions. With a critical reception on par with this, meesa thinks this film will be similarly uncontroversial, and definitely will not ruin every comment section of every website for the foreseeable future. I personally haven't bothered seeing it yet, a positive sign for the health of a franchise which I have religiously followed for much of my life. My general apathy seems to be shared with general audiences, manifesting itself in a diminished return at the box office. It is this declining interest in the seminal space opera that might actually ensure Disney abides by its word vis-á-vis this being the end for the Skywalkers. Still, rejoice Wookies, for The Mandalorian (#6) is entertaining, and the franchise could b e worse.
2	Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019		2,405,816		India decided to do something for immigrants who were victims of religious persecution. It wasn't universally well-accepted, with claims that the act is a form of religious discrimination, in particular for excluding Muslims.
3	Impeachment in the United States		1,926,720		Donald Trump was impeached on 18 Dec, joining an illustrious list of infamy. The House of Representatives, now in the control of the disorganised donkeys, have charged the president with abuse of power for his alleged role in the solicitation of интерференция in the forthcoming election, and for attempting to obstruct the inquiry into his treasonous transgressions. The impeachment, which will now see the case scrutinised and considered by the Senate, with a two-thirds majority decision required for the removal of the president, sees the Don join Johnson and Clinton, and has set Wikipedians tunneling through a vast array of links to investigate the potential ramifications of the House's contentious decision, and the prospect that Trump could go bye bye birdie.

The eye-catching title Don’t F**k With Cats: Hunting An Internet Killer alludes to how Luka Magnotta first got attention due to animal cruelty, uploading videos killing kittens, before getting tried and imprisoned accused of killing and dismembering a Chinese international student.

10	6 Underground (film)		812,373		Among the movies which Netflix decided to take in is the latest Michael Bay explosion fest, starring Ryan Reynolds as a billionaire who decides to become the leader of a vigilante squad.

12	List of Star Wars films		706,851		See #1; Daisy Ridley's Rey got a send-off, and given last year's Solo: A Star Wars Story showed people aren't that welcome to Disney milking the franchise every year, whenever a next one will appear is up in the air.
13	National Register of Citizens of India		701,724		The Indian state of Assam already had this register because being a border to the Himalayas brings in lots of illegal immigration. The implementation of our #2 means it will become a nationwide affair, and protests have ensued, with people of Assam itself fearing it will dilute their political, culture and land rights.

With a supporting role in Imaginary Springtime for Hitler, and a starring turn in Kramer v. Kramer II: Divorce Boogaloo both tipped for nominations from the Academy, Scarlett may have to make space in the trophy cabinet as she finally receives some overdue recognition of her talent.

22	Mikel Arteta		537,833		The former Evertonian ( ugh) and Gooner has been appointed manager of the team fondly known as Banter FC. The appointment baffled many football aficionados, given the Spaniard's lack of managerial experience beyond a tenure as the assistant of a bald fraud ( not that one), a confusion compounded by the fact that Carlo Ancelotti, one of the most respected managers of the modern era, was also available, at least before opting to mentor tiny arms. The appointment of a former player to the wheel may work out, but I feel Troopz and DT will be telling Robbie they are tired once again soon.
