From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Each week a Philippine-related article is nominated to become the Philippine collaboration of the week. The aim is to produce featured-standard articles, through widespread cooperative editing. This project aims to fill holes in Wikipedia, so only non-existent articles, or stubs may be nominated.

The next collaboration will be selected at 18:00 on Sunday September 17, UTC (the current time is 01:37, April 29, 2024).

Selection process

The collaborations are selected by approval voting. This is done by clicking the edit button to the right of the article's nomination, and adding the text # ~~~~.

  • Only registered users may vote, and their first edit must have been before the article was nominated.
  • Only support votes and comments should be added, as the articles are chosen by approval voting.

The article chosen is the article with the most votes. This is intended to give a diverse range of people contributing to the articles.

Nominating articles

To nominate an article:

  • At the bottom of the list of nominees on this page enter the text {{Wikipedia:Collaborations of the Week/article name}}, replacing the text "article name" appropriately. Do not use the "edit" link of the last heading.
  • Follow the new red link, and enter the text {{subst: newcotw|article name|~~~~~|date in seven days|your reason for nominating|~~~~}}. changing the text accordingly (for example, add: {{subst:newcotw|Dog hair|~~~~~|[[12 July]]|This is really important for all dog-lovers.|~~~~}}).
  • If the article you are nominating already exists, please add {{Phicotw}} to the top of its talk page.

Considerations

  • Please only nominate stubs (articles of two short paragraphs or less).
  • Giving good reasons will help others in supporting your nomination.
  • Articles should interest a wide number of people, so many can contribute to the article's improvement.
